On this mix series, we're going to dive into a vocal mix I've done for a pop artist called Marina Bennett.
We'll go through the framework from the Technical Module and adapt it to the material we've been given.
The first part is about discovering the song, and pointing out what we'll want to do in the mix.

Part 2: Main Vocal Processing
Following from the previous video, now let's attack the main bulk of it all: the vocal processing.
We'll see how we use EQs, de-essers, compressors and other little tools and techniques to create a nice shape for the vocals in the context of the song.
Next, we'll dive into effects, the 3 dimensions, and the space for the vocals in the production.

And to close this series, we're getting into effects and how I shaped the dimensions for Marina's vocals.
We inflated some depth, space and height with the 4 Holy Reverbs, and with other cool tricks, we managed to get a nice vocal mix for this song.
